Four Iranian films have been nominated for “Grand Off” World Independent Film Awards in Poland.
'Chelipa', 'Track', 'Kahrizak -Tajrish' and 'The Servant' were selected from 428 films in Best Production Design, Best Documentary and Best Animation categories of the Polish event.
Azadeh Rezaiean Moqaddam's 'Kahrizak -Tajrish' and Reza Golchin’s ‘Track’ will vie at the doc section of the film awards while 'Chelipa' by Karim Amini is in contention for the Best Production Design award.
Meanwhile, 'The Servant' by Farnoush Abedi will represent Iran as an animation work.
"In the final stage all films will be rated by Jury ( 54 people) from the whole world. We will announce the results on December 2 in Warsaw during the solemn ceremony," the official website for the awards event read.
The fest is the most important initiative promoting independent Cinema in Poland and one of the most important initiatives in the world. In 2016, 4000 films were submitted to the event from 123 countries.
